About connection among Darwin theory implemented at the issue of humanitarian aid, units of intensive care, global demographic growth and the idea of humanity which might destroy our existence.

We all quite know the Darwin theory is all about. Selection, the strongest one survives, weakness is not tolerated by the mother nature. We would  probably be able  also recall a few insights from modern history lessons – social Darwinism. What? Nazi Germany – selection of those who have the right to live and genocide of those who do not have such a right. Name of well-known British scientist is being used quite often in various contexts.

Recently, I have heard a new interpretation. Is said that the idea of Darwinism does not cope with an idea of humanitarian aid or generally –charity.

Darwin and the weak
Why should we help to those who cannot help themselves? In the light of extreme interpretation – did not the mother nature “choose” them to be examined whether they can survive and therefore they are to be strong?
Why do not we let them cope with it – basically let them die or at least suffer hard from cholera (Haiti), ebola and HIV/AIDS (Africa) or do not fill their stomachs after humanitarian catastrophes (flooding in Pakistan, earthquake at Haiti, tsunami in Asia) if they are  -say – weak?

What would Charles Darwin have to say? Does the mother nature do its own selection in order to find out who is weak and who can survive its testings? Does the planet itself kind of regulates population?
Right, sure. Why do I consider up-mentioned questions not worth of pondering? Because we would deny the rules of Humanity /solidarity among the human kind. Choose what you prefer.

The level of pondering is still the same – why would we let somebody of our kind suffer or even pass away if we could prevent that?

Units of intensive care for our world?

If we would accept such argumentation, we would literally dispose healthcare system and maybe pensions for retired as well. Units of intensive care are for the weak, is that correct? Those one who cannot help themselves to survive, have no right for existence, right?

Despite such arguments, I personally deem the humanism a right theory and therefore I work for humanitarian agency.

Look at this issue from a different perspective which might seem weird or even instrumental for fundamentalism. If we, human beings, are swayed or at least influenced by our sense of humanity / solidarity, can it become a root cause for exodus of our civilization?

Our world has population about 7 billion. Several years ago, there was only 6 billion. It is growing fast. Common and useful fact.

In upcoming decades, we will be fighting for resources of our planet, later for space on the globe and then who the rest of destroyed planet will belong to. And let me ask – if we would “let our weak die”, would it change the demographic issues – more space for the strong ones?

Maniac ?

Do not call me eugenic maniac, I know that it is not possible since we are human beings. Our ideals will not allow us to.  Stay alerted- anybody can show up with a beautiful PR clouds around and break down such ideas for enthusiastic folks.

It is not the solution to let our weak pass away. We are human, right?
